The time sequencers
Sally is at home. She is hungry. She wants to prepare an omelet, but she doesn’t know how to do that. Let’s help her.
The different steps:
- break the eggs.
- add salt, ground pepper.
- beat with a fork.
- heat a frying pan.
- put one table spoon of oil.
- pour the beaten eggs.
- cook for 2 minutes.
- put the omelet into a plate.
- sprinkle cheese on it.
:The process
First, break 2 or 3 eggs in a recipient.Then, add a pinch of salt and beat with a fork for 2 minutes. Next, heat a frying pan and put one table spoon of oil in it. After that, pour the beaten eggs into the frying pan and cook for 3 minutes. Finally, put the omelet into a plate and sprinkle cheese on it
First,Then, Next, After that, Later, Finally are called “Time sequencers” or “sequence adverbs”.
They are used to indicate the order in which various steps of a procedure are carried out.
