The superlative form of adjectives
Comparing differences between 3 things/ 3 animals / 3 persons or more
Sally is 1, 70 / Eva is 1, 75 / Jenny is 1, 80
Eva is taller than Sally but Jenny is the tallest and the most beautiful of her friends.
To compare 3 or more things or animals or persons... We pick one as being superior to all others. We use the superlative form of adjectives.

Spelling notes:
- Short adjective: the adjective + est
 
Example : big → the biggest
- Short adjectives ending in a vowel and a consonant.
 
The + adjective + double consonant + est
Example: hot → the hottest
- Adjectives ending in”y” we drop “y” into “i” + est.
 
Example: heavy → the heaviest
