It took more than 20 years to broadly accept that mankind is causing global warming with the emission of greenhouse gases. The drastic increase in the emission of CO2 within the last  30 years caused by the burning fossil fuels has been identified as the major reason for the change in temperature of the atmosphere.§1

More than 80 % of the world-wide energy demand is currently supplied by the fossil fuels :coal,oil or gas. It will be impossible to find alternative energies, which could replace fossil fuels in the short or medium term. The energy demand is simply too high. §2

Global warming is not about the others, global warming is about us and our personal behaviour. Everyone must  assume responsibility and bring down his or her personal contribution.§3

Ogoniland is a very famous area. It is located   in Southern Nigeria.It is as important as the Amazon area. It consists of creeks which are wetlands. Unfortunately, it has experienced one of the worst ecological disasters in the world. The cause of its curse is oil as Ogoniland is   rich in petroleum . Shell has exploited the area since the British colonization.The intensive exploitation of oil has resulted in the pollution of water sources and the local agriculture. The inhabitants of the villages Ogoniland creeks have no hope about the future  .However, The government is going to implement the program suggested  by the United Nations to decontaminate Ogoniland creeks
