 Their comparative and superlative forms:

 fewer – the fewest

 Examples: 

 There are fewer students in my  present school than  in my former  school.

 Of the three school I went to, high

 School had the fewest students.

 Their comparative and superlative  forms:

 Less – the least

 Examples:

 There is less rain in the west than in the  east but the south has the least rain.

 

 

2. Many /Much

  • What is the difference?

 Many

 much

 Its meaning: a large number

 Its meaning: a large amount

 Its usage: Many + count nouns

 Mainly used in interrogative and negative sentences.

 Example:

 How many buses are there at the bus  station?

 There aren’t many tourists.

 Its usage: much + non-count nouns

 Mainly used in interrogative and negative  sentences.

 Examples:

 How much money is there in your  pocket?

 There isn’t much milk.

 

 Their comparative and  superlative forms:

 more – the most

 Examples: 

 There are more students in my present school  than in my former school.

 Of the three school I went to, middle school had the most students.

 Their comparative and superlative forms:

 more – the most

 Examples:
